Gundlach Logo will be taking over the business of Elepa Haftetiketten und Etikettiermaschinen GmbH (currently in insolvency), which is based in Weinstadt near Stuttgart as of November 1,
2010 in an asset deal. The current staff of twenty-seven will be continuing business in a new company, LOGO ETIKETTEN Stuttgart GmbH, located in Weinstadt-Endersbach. Previous relations between the two companies have shown them both to be fair competitors that will benefit from the merger with a variety of new positive effects. "The merger will enable us to serve our customers with key label-printing technologies from a one-stop shop," according to Gundlach Logo CEO Frank Neumann; "Mutual extension to our production facilities and the specialist expertise of Elepa's staff will put us in a position to make further improvements in customer service."
Offset, book and multicolour screen printing will be new additions to Gundlach Logo's production range. "This will give us a substantial extension to our range," says Frank Neumann.
Elepa was very well-equipped to deal with small production volumes and specialised niche markets, whereas Gundlach Logo is specialised in medium and large-scale production volumes.
Gundlach Logo is a member of the Bielefeld-based Gundlach Group founded in 1847. The compact family business has constantly moved with markets and technologies throughout a company history of more than a hundred and sixty-three years, while keeping to tradition and driving on innovation.
"This merger will reinforce our labels division, in line with our strategy as a specialist for highquality packaging, labels, displays, posters and printed materials," says Paul von Schubert, owner-manager of the Gundlach Group.

The company will continue to provide all of its label production services under the GundlachLogo brand.The two locations will each be operating as independent businesses with the same management as before from November 1, 2010.

Based in Mahlberg in Germany's Baden region, LOGO ETIKETTEN GmbH has specialised in printing self-adhesive labels, tea packaging, drink wraps, shrink sleeves and packaging printing. The company employs a staff of around fifty-five, and commands an average annual turnover
figure of €8.4 million. The Mahlberg location has more than eleven thousand square metres of floor space with four and a half thousand square metres for production and warehousing.
