Presstek 34 DI Digital Offset Press
Taking center stage will be the highly automated Presstek 34DI four-color digital offset press. Designed to help companies achieve faster and more profitable environmentally friendly, high quality, short run colour printing, the 34DI produces offers a maximum sheet size of 340mm x 460 mm and prints up to 7,000 full size or 14,000 A4 sheets per hour. The Presstek 34DI’s high level of automation enables it to go from digital file to sellable colour within 20 sheets resulting in fast turnaround times with less makeready waste. It delivers up to 300 lpi and stochastic screening on a broad range of substrate thicknesses up to 0.5mm and as it offers a low average cost per page for 250 to 10,000 impressions it can produce more jobs, more profitably in less time.
Presstek’s DI digital offset presses, which include the 52DI and the recently launched the 75DI, provide the most environmentally-friendly offset printing solution on the market. Environmental benefits include: chemistry-free on-press platemaking, waterless printing, support of recycled papers and vegetable-based inks, no use of fountain solutions significantly reducing VOC’s, and fast makeready which results in significantly reduced waste.
Presstek Vector FL52 Platesetter
At Northprint, Presstek will be demonstrating the Vector FL52 an easy-to-use, small format chemistry-free metal platemaking solution. The Vector features a fiber laser imaging system that is engineered to deliver excellent dot quality and high reliability. It supports a wide range of plate sizes and will be demonstrated using Presstek’s chemistry-free Freedom Pro plates. Freedom Pro provides superior print performance, improved roll-up, better ink and water latitude, overall colour consistency throughout the press run and excellent on-press handling.
