Sleever Combi New vertical combi solution

A pioneer and expert of Sleever® technology for 40 years, Sleever International jointly carries out, with its engineering subsidiary, SleeverMachines, the development and manufacture of a full range of equipment designed to provide shrink-sleeves solutions: single- and dual-head shrink-sleeve machines, steam shrinking, infrared and hot air shrinking and special machines.

Today the group introduces a new generation of high-speed shrink-sleeve machines SLEEVERCOMBI®, based on 17 years of consolidated experience of the Powersleeve® range. The machine implements a proprietary patented technique: a floating conformator to open the sleeve, rotary synchronised multi-blade cutting, transfer of the sleeve by ejection and position control of the product by feed screw (single, double, with or without orientation).

A new facet of this tried and tested system; the new 100% electronic machine calls upon servo-driven technology and control cards which are combined to carry out all its functions.

SLEEVERCOMBI®: a machine designed for operators

Its main assets include accurate results at speeds up to 30 000 (single-head version) and 60 000 bottles/hour (dual head in line or in parallel). Thanks to a mechanical design that has been optimized, streamlined and is controlled by brushless motors; the movement accuracy has been improved up to ± 5/10th mm); format changeovers can be carried out in less than 20 minutes per operator; a significant reduction in maintenance costs; a diagnostic display of incidents; preventive maintenance reminders; reduced floor space and fewer components.

SLEEVERCOMBI® is designed to handle containers of diameters from 16 to 190 mm, a minimum height of 30 mm and maximum of 320 mm and is compatible with all existing sleeve materials (PET, OPS, TPE…) and thicknesses between 30 and 120 µm.

It can be equipped with a series of peripheral accessories depending on the customer’s specifications:

• Full micro-perforation unit

• Auto-control vision system

• Marking/coding system

• Separate Non stop reel changeover unit

The product path through the machine offers full visibility from the infeed to outfeed, thanks to the design of the machine. This machine concept is ergonomic, flexible and user friendly for the operator.
