AVERY DENNISON SHINES SPOTLIGHT ON SUSTAINABILITY WITH SHOWCASE OF FASSON® ECOFRIENDLY™ PRODUCTS & SERVICES

Sustainability in product packaging is a complex challenge – particularly when it comes to pressure-sensitive labels. Attendees at LabelExpo Americas 2008 will have the opportunity to explore the latest in pressure-sensitive products, services, and technologies designed for sustainability from Avery Dennison. Specifically, the Fasson® brand EcoFriendly™ portfolio on display in Booth #119 will include:

* Pressure-sensitive labeling material made from renewable resources such as “tree free” facestocks of bamboo, bagasse and cotton liners.

* Fasson® Post Consumer Waste (PCW) products designed to reduce landfill loads and maximize forest conservation, encompassing three all-new pressure-sensitive products for the wine industry, new eco-friendly prime papers, as well as the latest in environmentally friendly Fasson® Rapid-Roll® products.

* Options and information about eco-friendly brown liners that deliver all the performance of their white counterparts with the advantages of recyclable material.

* PET liner updates which offer superior sustainability when compared to other liners; increased productivity in terms of better-applied cost; and enhanced cost-effectiveness when compared to thicker counterparts and materials that run the risk of creating more web breaks.

* The latest on environmentally benign adhesives (EBA), with particular focus on testing, certification and standards for these materials that remove cleanly, facilitating overall container reuse.

* A host of sustainable services to support and enhance green outcomes, such as the hands-on analysis of Fasson Optimum PerformanceSM services that helps converters drive productivity improvements; the optimized roll usage of Fasson EXACT™ services that helps customers order just what is required or Fasson Ready Width™ that offers pre-determined slit material ordering; the waste management opportunity of an all-new Liner Recycling service; and key information on the company’s regionally located Distribution Centers for optimum delivery and product servicing.
