One Equity Partners (OEP) sells Constantia Flexibles to Wendel

Funds advised by One Equity Partners (“OEP”) and the H. Turnauer Foundation have agreed to sell their 100 percent stakeholding in Constantia Flexibles to the Wendel Group. Wendel’s offer values the group at around € 2.3 billion (enterprise value). Constantia Flexibles is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of flexible packaging products and labels. OEP acquired the company in 2009, when it took over the majority of Constantia Packaging AG, and holds 75 percent of Constantia Flexibles. 25 percent belong to the H. Turnauer Foundation. “We are very happy with the way that Constantia Flexibles has developed over the last five years under the ownership of OEP. ALTANA expands its business in Brazil through acquisitions

The specialty chemicals Group ALTANA has acquired two companies in Brazil. As a result, the ACTEGA division now has its own sites in South America's largest country. Both of the acquired companies are owner-operated and headquartered in the federal state of São Paulo. Premiata, which operates two facilities under the name of Premiata Tintas and Premiata Especialidades Químicas, specializes, respectively, in printing inks and coatings for the packaging industry with140 employees. Overlake is an overprint varnishes specialist with 70 employees at one site. To honour the printing-ink manufacturer's 250th anniversary, the hubergroup used a sophisticated, graphic advertising medium: the poster Kirchheim near München, 16 December 2014 – Twelve different posters that reflect both the historical changes and significant aspects of the hubergroup's 250-year-old heritage have been selected as the motifs for next year's wall calendar. Labelexpo South China attracts over 5,000 to Guangzhou

Guangzhou’s Pazhou Exhibition Center played host to the biggest Labelexpo South China yet with 2014’s edition reporting a 4% increase in footfall. Universal Converting Equipment complete Phase 2 of their expansion strategy

In the last two years, Universal Converting Equipment has doubled its turnover. To support this turnover growth, Universal invested in additional manufacturing space, designers and assembly staff (Phase 1). However, Universal found that the business was being held back by the lack of capacity of its sub-contractors to meet their increased demands. In the last 12 months Universal undertook an ambitious plan to install its own machine shop so it could be self-sufficient in machined mechanical parts. This Phase 2 investment plan is now complete following the installation of £1m in CNC controlled machine tools. The investment has included a CNC mill for the manufacture of machine side-frames, a CNC lathe for production of rollers, PC controlled roller balancing equipment and a range of CNC machining centres for the manufacture of other parts.
