Sidel Innovation and Sustainability Solutions at Pack Expo result in Higher Productivity and Cost Savings

Sidel will demonstrate innovative and sustainable solutions that result in improved performance, higher productivity and substantial cost savings.

At its 10,240 sq. ft. booth, (S-2259), Sidel will highlight not only its blow-molding expertise, but its innovative labeling, filling, Predis™ dry preform decontamination system, capfeeding and conveying equipment as well as package development and tooling services.
A special area of the booth will be devoted to Life Cycle Management solutions to improve performance and lower costs while meeting sustainability goals. To address specific energy, water, air and other consumption issues, a special calculator will demonstrate the savings available through options and upgrades on existing equipment.

Sidel equipment to be shown at Pack Expo includes:

* SBO 4 Compact Preferential Heating, Sidel’s latest blow molding machine.

This small, economic, flexible machine enables production of PET packages that are flat or have complex shapes via preferential heating, or standard bottles using conventional heating.

* Veloce FM filler.

This state-of-the-art hot fill machine features flowmeter technology that results in more precise filling accuracy, higher hygiene, better product quality and energy–efficiency. It can be used for both hot filling and ambient filling.

* Rollquattro Evolution F35 labeler – displayed for the first time in North America.

The Rollquattro Evolution F35 is the next stage of the successful Rollquattro labelers. Specifically designed for the North American market, it can be used for roll-fed and ROSO (Roll On Shrink On) labeling. The Rollquattro Evolution F35 features construction that ensures long production runs and high quality labeling with decreased maintenance requirements.

* Conveyor system will feature a reject system and Sidel’s laydown cap sterilizer, the only sterilizer of its type available in North America.

* Cap Feeder CF2024 with a Hepa filter blow off system, backwards cap reject device, cap air rinser and bulk cap dumper/tipper. The capfeeder will feature Sidel’s new electrical panel design.

To address lightweighting needs, a special animation will illustrate FlexLine, the first bottling line dedicated to mass-producing at high speeds, up to 43,200 bph, 500 ml ultralight water bottles such as those using the Sidel NoBottle™ design concept.

Sidel’s engineering productivity services, its local Packaging Development & Tooling Center, and technical support capabilities will also be featured.

“Our goal is for our customers to accomplish more with less,” says Dave Schroeder, Sidel North American zone vice president. “Less material handling, less energy, less resin, less effluent. The results are more productivity, faster output, improved performance and more cost savings. Our products and services put meaningful numbers against the concept of sustainability.”

Sidel is one of the world’s top suppliers of beverage packaging equipment. The company employs 5,500 people around the world and is a division of Tetra Laval.
