Following the successful introduction of the new generation of machines at drupa ‘08, 120 Swiss customers attended the open house at the training center in Oftringen and toasted together with Muller Martini to their successes in the Swiss market..

Results to be proud of: Since the introduction of the new generation of machines in May,at drupa 08 with Brülisauer Buchbinderei AG in Gossau/SG, Abächerli Druck AG in Sarnen, AVD Goldach in Goldach, Vogt-Schild Druck AG in Derendingen (each a Primera E140), Kreis Druck AG in Basel, Druckerei Herzog AG in Langendorf, Sihldruck AG in Zurich and Sailer Druck GmbH in Winterthur (each a Presto E90), already eight Swiss companies have invested in a new saddle stitcher. A success story that Muller Martini celebrated together with its customers at the open house at the training center in Oftringen.

CEO Rudolf Müller expressed his pleasure, “that our new generation of machines is well received by you and that you believe in our new technologies.” According to Rudolf Müller, the new design and the new colour, Laserblue, of the new generation of saddle stitchers were not the only things that made a positive impression. “For us – and thus also for you – the technical innovations, the improvements in user-friendliness and the higher productivity of our system solutions are the decisive factor. This is how we assist you toward significantly higher efficiency.”

All eight customers of the new generation of saddle stitchers received a certificate from Muller Martini which will surely be given a place of honor in the company.

Away from the exhibition clamor, the well-attended open house presented an opportunity to take a closer look at the technical innovations of the systems from the saddle stitching and press delivery system areas. Highlighted was the new Primera range of saddle stitcher’s demonstrated in all three performance and automation levels A – C – E.

“A” stands for the entry-level model with basic expansion range and automation. The “C” model has partial automation and is flexibly expandable. The version “E” is highly automated. The presentation focused particularly on operating and set-up steps creating an impressive demonstration, Depending on the degree of automation, how many operating steps are required on the different machines, these options then allow each finishing company to choose the system solution that is suited to them.
