Today, in fact, SACMI Beverage has become a market leader in the manufacture of complete bottling lines and is the chosen partner of the main companies operating in this sector for all stages of the production process.
Drinktec 2009 is to be held from 14 to 19 September at the new trade fair centre in Munich. It is dedicated to drink and liquid food technologies and will be a unique opportunity to see Sacmi’s best and latest innovations for the bottling industry up close – all presented in an area covering more than 900 sq. M at stand no. 402, Hall B5.
In addition to the well-known compression technology for the production of plastic caps, CCM 80, among the new developments to be exhibited by Sacmi will be the CBF 10, the first monoblock for ultra-hygenic filling, directly connected upstream with the bottle forming machine for compression.
This monoblock can be installed in the production line together with the Opera R.F.S.T. (Roll Fed Sleeve Technology) labeling machine. This is a modular machine for the application of heat-shrinkable labels in plastic film.
Another important advance regards the production of PET pre-forms and the process of stretching and blowing the bottles with two new products: SBF and PAM.
PAM, acronym for Preform Advanced Moulding, produces PET pre-forms using compression technology and SBF, which stands for Stretch Blow Forming, exhibits important new developments for the sector such as the double-cavity mould (able to produce, with rapid size change-over, two 0.5 litre bottles or one 1.5 or 2 litre bottles).
Also on display for the public will be the SOLO-MAS filling machine for filling with hot non-flat products in PET bottles and the new 33T Modular Opera 400 rotating labeling machine equipped with three different labeling systems.
SACMI IMOLA’s Automation & Inspection Systems division will exhibit: a CVS system integrated with the CCM 80 for quality control of the closures at the outlet of the press; the new BVS system for complete inspection of the container produced by the CBF 10; the LVS-360 inspection machine which can detect a wide range of defects on blown bottles and a cap inspection machine from the CHS series suitable both for compression and injection moulding.
Finally the range of products on show at Munich would not be complete without the high-speed palletization line able to process more than 100 packages per minute and including the innovative layer forming system with two robotized orientation devices and a robot equipped with layer gripping head with double sliding deck. Downstream of the palletization line a laser guided vehicle (LGV shuttle) will simulate pallet handling.
