As previously announced in the past months, from the 14th of July 2009 Nuova GIDUE S.r.l. is officially allowed to use the name, the know-how, the technology, the logo and to employ part of the workforce of former GIDUE S.p.A., a manufacturer of printing and converting machines for the label and packaging industries.
The GIDUE logo will be the official logo of Nuova GIDUE, and the product lines keep the former commercial names: QUADRA, a very compact 4 colours flexographic label press, COMBAT, a full range of flexographic presses for the production of labels, shrinkable sleeves, aluminium foil, PE-PP-PET etc. flexible packaging, tooth paste tubes, and XPANND, a multiplatform-combination press Offset-Flexo-Screen etc. for the production of high added value labels and packaging.

Nuova GIDUE S.r.l. main plant is located in Tavarnuzze, in the close neighbourhood of Florence Italy, and a Sales and Service office in Turate, in the north of Milan, supports the over 320 GIDUE installations worldwide.
Federico d'Annunzio, Managing Director of Nuova GIDUE S.p.A. declares: "It has been a really hard experience for us, for our suppliers, for our employees and our customers in these months: the market conditions have quickly changed, and we have to admit errors in the past in managing with excessive optimism a continued and unsustainable growth of our industry.
In these new market conditions we should provide a flexible organisation which can listen and react fast. So we had to act fast, and in the full respect of the Italian and European laws. Thus we changed management, organisation, manufacturing sites, a new ownership and quickly slim down to recuperate efficiency and a sustainable organisation for the future. This was specially needed to protect the service, and the press value, to all the 250 converters who invested in the GIDUE presses in the past 10 years.”
