Stora Enso launches new Ensocoat

Stora Enso is launching its Ensocoat board with a new recipe that provides improved whiteness, brightness, smoothness and unique printability on both the top and reverse side. Besides, the company is replacing its Ensogloss brand with the new Ensocoat 2S.
"We are thrilled to present the new Ensocoat as a result of an extensive development project carried out on Board Machine 2 at our Imatra Mills in Finland," says Jonas Pettersson, who was recently appointed Sales Director, Stora Enso Graphical Board, Europe. "The introduction of Ensocoat 2S in place of the former Ensogloss will strengthen the brand and highlight the uniqueness of the new quality as the industry benchmark. A tribute to perfection, just as our new Ensocoat slogan says."
Optimal print results on both sides
"We are now running the new Ensocoat on a full production scale and our merchant partners are quickly filling up their stocks. The initial response from the graphical market has been enthusiastic and the board's visual appearance has been praised by everyone," says Tom Carne, Product Manager.
"Optical properties have been improved, including whiteness, brightness and a bluer shade. The new Ensocoat also offers the best reverse-side smoothness and whiteness available in the market. Ensocoat 2S is a two-side coated board for print products that require a fully coated finish on both sides," says Carne.
Solely positive customer comments
Ensocoat and Ensocoat 2S are intended for book covers, brochures, directories and catalogues, cards, tags, labels, tickets and posters. Besides several trial production runs on the board machine last year, printing trials of the new quality were conducted in close cooperation with a number of graphical board customers, representing different printing techniques and end uses. The results and comments were solely positive.
In order to cater for the specific needs of the graphical business and other vital market segments, Stora Enso has a network of ServiceCentres in Europe which guarantee board availability and smooth service also through the period of change. The ServiceCentres are set in central locations and offer efficient logistics and high performance sheeting machinery.
Ensocoat also has a new logo and the launch is backed up by a marketing campaign featuring images by the world-renowned photographer Andrea Klarin - check out www.storaenso.com/ensocoat!
