Just like granny’s tea

An old and well-proven recipe of our grannies for the making of tea has been dusted down by the company SISKA s.r.o. and under the brand Babiččin ovocný čaj (Granny's Fruit Tea) produces excellent pure and natural fruit tea with bits of fruit. The glass containers, in which the tea is sold, making the contents visible and giving an impression of the taste, are produced by the glassworks Vetropack Moravia Glass. Incidentally, the clear and natural glass is an essential part of old and quality recipes. 


"We produce everything using an old tasty recipe that has been popular for many generations. Of course, without the use of artificial colouring, aromas and preservatives," explained director of SISKA Jiří Gabriel. "In our busy and hectic times it is important not to burden our bodies with unnecessary chemical substances which are tasty but do not prove beneficial to the body. Therefore, Babiččin ovocný čaj is not only a tasty drink, but also an excellent agent for combating maladies," he added.

The 0.42 l or 50 ml glass containers with the tea attract the taste buds. Fresh fruit of the highest quality is enhanced by the most appropriate spices to achieve the right flavour. There are a total of eighteen flavours to suit everyone's taste: pineapple and cardamon, cranberry and cinnamon, pear and ginger or mango and aniseed. The different types of teas are also produced using fructose so they are more suitable for diabetics, for example. Lovers of something stronger can choose from selected types of teas containing alcohol and this line is sold under the brand Dědečkovo tajemství (Grandad's Secret).

Babiččin ovocný čaj can be prepared in the traditional way as a hot drink or in the summer with cold sparkling water, or left to cool and serve as refreshing lemonade. The teas can be added to puddings, yogurts, soups and ice cream sundaes.

Packing the teas in glass containers is not only practical, but also increases the aesthetic value of the product. Fruits in glass enhance and attract the taste buds. The screw lid makes it possible to re-seal the container and allows for easy storage. Thanks to the glass the tea is an excellent accessory to the kitchen, sweetshop or cafe, but also makes a novel gift.
