Milk Link, the UK’s leading dairy co-operative, has recently launched a new larger format of its award winning, highly successful Tickler Extra Mature Cheddar, utilising one of Amcor’s new material structures.
The features of the new packaging once again confirm Amcor’s constant commitment to packaging innovation. The non-woven laminate offers much improved aesthetics and the best efficiencies we have seen to date on a paper based laminate which has helped to reduce production running costs.
The new paper feels far superior to the more common grades. The pack has a soft and natural feel due to the fibres in the paper not being so tightly woven. The gloss effect is currently achieved by use of a transparent label and we are further investigating the possibility of direct printing gloss. The overall result is a pack which will stand on the shelf and appeal to the consumer.
