Agro-la yogurt in glass reaps awards

Agro-la, a company that offers top quality yogurts in glass jars produced by the glassworks Vetropack Moravia Glass, has gained an important award for its exceptional products. At the end of May on the occasion of World Milk Day Agro-la won the "Dairy Product of 2010" in the yogurt category for its product Jihočeský jogurt malina (South Bohemian Raspberry Yogurt). This high-quality product also won the media and distribution prize and came second in the "Chutná hezky jihočesky" (South Bohemian tastes good) competition.

The eighth annual "Dairy Product of the Year" competition culminated at the Břevnov Monastery in Prague where the prizes were presented by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic and the Czech & Moravian Dairy Association.

Agro-la yogurts in glass jars are marked for their high quality. They are produced from fresh milk and thickened with dried skimmed milk. They can boast of their high content of live milk bacteria as no stabilisers such as starch or gelatine are used in their production. Agro-la yogurts are pure and natural without gluten and preservatives, and are healthy and fresh. The yogurts mature directly in the glass jars unlike other mass produced products.

What is exceptional about the product is that the yogurts are contained in glass jars. Glass has an ideal quality - it staves off odours, is fully impervious to air and bacteria, its transparency allows the contents to be checked by sight and in terms of environmental protection the glass jar is fully recyclable.

Currently Agro-la produces yogurts in glass in seven flavours - Apricot, Peach, Strawberry, Bilberry, Chocolate and Nut, Sour Cherry and Raspberry-Blackberry. It also produces white yogurt and this year's novelty is the awarded Raspberry flavoured yogurt. Agro-la also produces a specific range for the company Madeta.

In June's test for the newspaper daily MF DNES which tested a total of 16 yogurts, the South Bohemian yogurt came top of the table.
