Xeikon, a division of Punch Graphix, today announced that WebTech Industries Pvt. Ltd., one of India’s largest label printing companies, has chosen two Xeikon 3030 Digital Label Presses to complement its flexographic manufacturing process for pressure sensitive and self-adhesive labels. The company, based in Mumbai, acquired the presses through Monotech Systems Limited of Chennai. Its new Xeikon presses will enable WebTech to meet the growing demand for short-run and variable data labels, especially in the pharmaceutical industry where it has a dominant market share in India.

With a top speed of9,6 m/min (31.5 ft/min), it is ideal for short to medium runs, just-in-time production and on-the-fly jobs. The Xeikon 3030 can print on an unrivalled range of substrates without pre-coat, including various self-adhesive materials such as co-extruded films, Bopp, PVC and PET, paperboards, paper with weights ranging from 40 to 350 gsm and transparent and opaque foils. In addition, exceptional registration control and high-density coverage ensure production of the highest quality digital labels.
