Leiden, The Netherlands -- Avery Dennison has appointed Michel Schuetz
to the post of vice president, operations and supply chain, for its materials
businesses in Europe.
In his previous function, Mr. Schuetz led the European operations for
Avery Dennison Roll Materials, Graphics and Reflective Products, and the
Performance Polymer adhesives plant in Switzerland. In his new role, he will
determine operations and supply chain strategy for these businesses, and
direct operations, the distribution network, all supply chain functions, including
transportation, planning, service, engineering and quality. He will also lead the
continuous improvement efforts for these businesses.
His extensive experience in technical and manufacturing management in
Avery Dennison since he joined the company in 1994, coupled with his Six
Sigma Master Black Belt status, qualify him strongly for this position. He has
also had central involvement in the company’s implementation of Enterprise
Lean Sigma.
Mr Schuetz will continue to be based at Avery Dennison Roll Materials
Europe’s plant in Rodange, Luxembourg. He and his partner, and their three
sons, live in Tétange, south of Luxembourg city.
