PRINTPACK INC. ACQUIRES MARSHALL LOCATION OF AMCOR/ALCAN PACKAGING MEDICAL FLEXIBLES BUSINESS
Printpack Inc., a flexible packaging and specialty rigid container manufacturer, announced today that it has purchased the Marshall, NC manufacturing location of Amcor’s Medical Packaging group. The sale was required by the U. S. Department of Justice upon Amcor’s acquisition of Alcan’s Medical Flexibles business. The Marshall facility manufactures films that are converted into header bags and forming films for sterilizable medical devices. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Dennis M. Love, President of Printpack Inc., stated, “We have been investigating the medical packaging market for quite some time. Timing was right to acquire Amcor’s Marshall facility, and we are excited to be entering this new market.We look forward to leveraging our core competencies to expand our offerings, service our new customers and grow our position in this market.”
