ASHE Converting Equipment have signed a contract with the company, Qingzhou Fuxiang Plastics Manufacturing in China for a 8.7m wide primary film slitter rewinder for BOPET films.
ASHE has been focusing attention on the ever increasing Chinese market with a view to strengthening the number of primary and secondary slitter rewinders, from the Jade series, that they currently have installed there. This started with the appointment of Mr Xu Lu, approximately 12 months ago, who is based in Shenzen and has a very good knowledge of the plastic film industry in China. At present, there is a significant demand for BOPET films with most of the sold lines going into China, of which ASHE is now a part of.
The machine is to be installed in Qingzhou city, which is the largest city in China for producers of vacuum metallised films. The machine is to be equipped with fully automatic knife positioning and fully automatic rewind arm positioning and will have a maximum running speed of 1200m/min.
The market for primary film slitters is very aggressive, however, Qingzhou Fuxiang were able to see the benefits that the ASHE Jade could offer them, in terms of production output and ease of operation. They were also impressed with the technical expertise of the ASHE team, which gave them significant confidence for after sales service coming from Shenzen.
