Schreiner PrinTronics Receives Worldwide Active Printed Electronics Experts

On November 16, 2010 Schreiner PrinTronics will host the members of the Organic Electronics Association (OE-A) at Schreiner Group in Oberschleissheim near Munich. At the meeting of the printed electronics industry association, renowned companies and research institutes will discuss developments and prospects of the industry and deliver presentations on relevant topics. The focus will be on current technology trends, success stories from the industry and product developments for concrete applications. As a cooperation partner, the Munich University of Applied Sciences will host the delegates at its facilities on November 17.

The market for organic and printed electronics is rapidly growing:  by 2020 the worldwide sales volume will reach almost 60 billion euros, according to the market research firm IDTechEx. The OE-A is the internationally leading industry association in this field. “We are delighted that we may welcome 100 high-caliber representatives of industry and institutes,” says Christian Senninger, head of the Competence Center Schreiner PrinTronics. The integration of printed electronics into products of the automotive industry, consumer electronics, for product and brand protection as well as other industries will be the focal topic of the meeting. During a tour of the plant the company will present its technology and products in the field of printed electronics.

Schreiner PrinTronics has been an active member of the OE-A since 2007. Four times a year research and development institutes, material manufacturers, equipment manufacturers, producing companies and end users from Europe, North America and Asia meet to discuss current industry topics.

The OE-A was founded in December 2004 and currently has about 150 members. The worldwide industry association offers a unique platform for national and international cooperation between all businesses and institutes that are involved in the value chain of organic and printed electronics.
