Labelgraphics invests in second Gallus RCS 430 combination press

Labelgraphics has invested in a second Gallus RCS 430 combination press in response to production demands for more capacity and flexibility. The Gallus RCS 430, only the second in the UK, will sit alongside the first, making Labelgraphics the only company in the UK with RCS 430 capacity. The press will be delivered by Christmas 2010.

"We have seen a dramatic increase in business since the first installation eighteen months ago and this second Gallus RCS 430 will increase capacity and also maintain our flexibility, which is important in today's market," says Alex Mulvenny, Managing Director at Labelgraphics. "Quality is also a crucial factor and we consider Gallus to be leading the label-printing market in this. The proof of the pudding is that we have just won two Gold Awards for combination printing on the Gallus RCS 430 - one from FlexoTech from the European market and the other a globally-recognised award from TLMI. We are, of course, delighted!"

Labelgraphics‘ Gallus RCS 430, which is capable of producing unsupported film and self adhesive labels,  will combine six processes: offset, flexo, screen, embossing and hot and cold foil stamping. It could also have gravure retrofitted if required.

This recent investment is part of Labelgraphics' five year expansion plan which has seen the company make £4 million capital investments over the first two years. With further investment scheduled over the next three years.  "We intend to purchase land in the next three months and will then be building our own, customised factory," continues Alex Mulvenny.

These ambitious business and investment strategies will keep Labelgraphics at the forefront of the UK and European Beverage Label industry.
