Atlantic Zeiser at FESPA Digital: industrial digital printing for optimum late-stage customisation

Atlantic Zeiser is exhibiting efficient print job changes with non-stop machine availability at FESPA Digital. The GAMMA™ full-colour UV print module on an end-to-end system solution from the DIGILINE™ Single Product series, as well as the new compact OMEGA™ 25 digital printer with an air-cooled LED dryer unit, are the central focus. This new development is particularly suited for integration in existing production lines with limited space. All of the modules and system solutions have been developed for the profitable coding, marking and printing of small print runs as well as late-stage customisation of packages, labels, mailshots, cards and individual products. FESPA Digital is being staged in Hamburg from 24 to 27 May 2011.

Emmingen, 2 March 2011 – The Atlantic Zeiser Group, a leading developer and supplier of integration components and end-to-end system solutions for industrial digital printing to code, mark and serialise packaging, mailshots and 3D products, will present examples of its integration modules as well as non-stop system solutions at FESPA Digital in Hall A2 at Stand B72. Visitors will see how print job changes can be executed by a click of the mouse during the running production process. Changes to the layout and print data can be made quickly and simply using the printing software’s intuitive menu navigation.

Atlantic Zeiser will present the DIGILINE™ Single Product 210 system with the full-colour GAMMA™ 70P printing module, as well as a transport unit with an integrated OMEGA™ 25 printing module in combination with an air-cooled dryer unit. The solution is ideally suited to product direct printing in small and very small print runs. The company will print plastic rulers, coated metal boxes and 3D packaging cartons on site to demonstrate the outstanding printing quality on surfaces with low print colour adhesion.

Atlantic Zeiser will highlight the major advantages of industrial digital printing at FESPA Digital – printing variable data at the lastest stage in the production process at the highest quality. Such late-stage customisation increases machine availability during frequent job changes due to small batches.

DIGILINE™ Single Product 210 was specially developed for the late-stage customisation of packages and individual products, which place particularly high demands on printing quality. The solution meets growing demand for packaging printing with the ability to make latest possible adaptations, and helps users to meet demand for small batch sizes and ever shorter reaction times. It is particularly beneficial for packaging and products with variable data, such as bar codes or content in different languages.

The full-colour UV GAMMA™ 70P printers integrated in the DIGILINE™ model series print with UV printing inks specially developed by Atlantic Zeiser, which adhere to a multitude of materials. The adjustable droplet size of the Xaar-1001 printing head ensures pin-sharp texts, barcodes, details and graphics. Customers benefit from fast, inexpensive and reliable printing results. Depending on the requirement profile, a variety of UV drying systems, including the environmentally-friendly SMARTCURE LED UV drying unit for temperature-sensitive products, are available for selection.

As a further solution, Atlantic Zeiser will present a web transport unit for labels with an integrated new OMEGA™ 25 printing module in combination with an air-cooled LED dryer.
