Edale hold third distributor training event

Edale held their third annual distributor training event from 8-9 March 2011. This event saw 20 distributors from all over the globe travel to Manchester, UK, to partake in two full days of product training; including visits to two existing Edale customers – and a demonstration of the brand new web fed flatbed die cutting machine, the FDC-510.

On the first day, the distributors were taken to see short run folding carton suppliers, Reelvision Print. Reelvision, based in Lancashire are a successful start up company who have seen their business expand so rapidly in the past four years that they now own two Edale Gamma flexo systems – and are the first business to purchase an FDC-510.

Distributors were taken on a tour of the factory before Gareth Bakewell, joint MD of Reelvision, and James Boughton, MD of Edale, gave a presentation followed by Q&A session. The afternoon and following day saw the group head to a conference centre in Manchester where the Edale Sales team were on hand to update on existing products - and forthcoming product plans. It was also the distributors turn to talk, and Helmut Weidmann, MD of Grafitech, gave a presentation on their success and shared their selling techniques, since becoming Edale’s distributors for Germany.

Tomasz Marczewski, President of ITTP, Edale’s Polish Distributor, says; “Once again Edale have proved themselves to be a brand which outdistances market trends, offering the most modern flexographic printing and packaging solutions for a wide variety of sectors. Both customer visits made a great impression, which helped me learn about unknown possibilities of the machines presented.   The possibilities, the efficiency, the work quality and the adaptation to non-typical printing and converting jobs, was of huge benefit. Visits to working production lines are an excellent inspiration to business development, giving the real picture of how flexible these machines are.”
