The name of the 5 students who will be participating in the competition are: Ashley Robinson, Nicole Meares, Drew Mcwhorter, David Stokes and Bradley Gasque. Each student is working on one shrink sleeve project for the pacakging of golf balls.

The Phoenix Challenge Problem for 2010-2011 will receive proposals for custom branding of narrow web flexographically printed labels and/or packaging to be used for promotional and other types of items associated with the annual Phoenix Challenge fund-raising golf tournament.

"The goal of the challenge is to get tomorrow's packaging leaders to think differently and creatively while solving packaging problems"says Dr. Nona Woolbright, Graduate Coordinator, Graphic Commnunications, Clemson University. The main goal of the challenge is to force students to utilize both internal resources as well as external resources to solve the problem and expand their knowledge base. The FTTA challenge will also give students exposure to the flexographic industry, by giving them the opportunity to present their solution in front of other teams, industry professionals, and a panel of industry judges.
