Husky Injection Molding Systems Completes Acquisition of Closure Mold Maker KTW

Husky Injection Molding Systems has announced it has completed the acquisition of KTW of Waidhofen, Austria, recognized as a global leader in closure mold making.

With the addition of KTW, Husky becomes the closure industry’s only provider of complete injection molding systems, including mold, machine, hot runner, temperature controller, as well as a range of consulting and after-sales services. Husky will now offer KTW-branded closure molds as part of its fully integrated turnkey systems.

“This acquisition allows us to more closely integrate KTW technologies into the industry’s most advanced closure molding systems,” said John Galt, Husky’s President and CEO. “Being able to offer customers a complete solution that is optimized to work seamlessly means increased productivity, less waste and improved part quality.

Husky’s closure offering includes its HyCAP system for beverage closures, Hylectric system for specialty closures, a full line of hot runners, Altanium controller and the industry’s most comprehensive after-sales support.
