INX International to debut two new products at Graph Expo.

Building on the tremendous success of its EVOLVE® Advanced Digital Solutions brand line, INX International Ink Co. will be adding to its impressive roster at this year’s Graph Expo show at McCormick Place in Chicago, September 11-14. INX (booth #427) will introduce the new NW140 UV digital narrow web press with laser die-cutting capabilities, in addition to EcoTech™ LM (low migration) process color inks.

At Graph Expo 2010, INX conducted daily, in-booth education sessions where company experts and engineers offered commercial printers keen insight on many important issues. Among the various topics they discussed were presentations on LED lamp technology, ink systems and Xaar™ print heads for integration. The NW140 is one shining example of these developments, complete with 14 Xaar 1001 print heads, a Phoseon FireLine 225 high efficiency, water-cooled UV LED curing system, and an air-cooled UV LED pinning system from Integration Technology.

“We’re very excited to introduce the NW140 UV digital press. The technology is very impressive and we believe the marketplace will respond enthusiastically now that it’s commercially available,” said Jim Lambert, VP and General Manager of INX International Ink Co. – Digital Division. “Our team continues to work with various manufacturers of LED UV light systems to optimize both the light source and ink. Our partners on the NW140 have worked diligently to develop a digital press that I think offers tremendous capability and value.”

The NW140 UV digital narrow web press provides single pass printing at speeds up to 80’ feet per minute on any label stock. It offers a base coat application for non-treated media and can support up to 2mm thick media. The LED curing lamps are used for the pre-coat, white base layer and varnish to hold the inkjet drops in position before a full cure is added by another LED lamp, and laser die-cutting.

The new EcoTech™ Low Migration sheetfed process color inks offer high performance and are designed specifically for the folding carton market. The EcoTech LM system is formulated without mineral oil, is cobalt-free and has minimal residual odor. These inks, which comply with Nestle Guidance procedures, also conform to U.S. and European food packaging guidelines for outer printing. They meet ISO 2846-1 standards and are suitable to GRACoL G7 certification.
