INX partners with Phoseon Technology to introduce NW140 press at Graph Expo.

INX International Ink Co. will introduce its new NW140 UV digital narrow web press at Graph Expo, which runs from September 11-14 in Chicago at McCormick Place. INX (booth #427) has partnered with several industry suppliers including Phoseon Technology, to develop the press which features UV LED-cure single pass output and Spartanics laser die-cutting capabilities.

 

 

The NW140 press is the latest addition to INX’s highly successful EVOLVE® Advanced Digital Solutions brand line. It delivers single pass printing with eye-popping color at speeds up to 80’ feet per minute on any label stock and provides for easy separation of printed labels. Phoseon’s FireLine 225 high efficiency water-cooled UV LED curing system helps make this product unique to the marketplace. The LED curing lamps are used for the final curing process to ensure complete full cure and good adhesion qualities to the substrate.

 

 

As the world leader in UV LED curing solutions, Phoseon Technology became involved with INX earlier this year in the development in the NW140. The FireLine 225 is the successor to the company’s highly successful StarFire MAX (4W/cm2) product line. Made available to the market since late 2009, the FireLine225 is a key part of a family of four products that were the industry’s first to deliver 8W/cm2 peak irradiance.

The FireLine 225 includes patented Semiconductor Light Matrix™ (SLM) technology, which offers high intensity and pure UV output while promoting a longer life cycle. The scalable, water-cooled system also sports increased productivity benefits and is maintenance free.
