Kodak Previews CREO Color Servers, IC-307 for Konica Minolta’s bizhub PRESS Color Digital Presses at Graph Expo 2011

Kodak is showcasing the newest version of its CREO Color Servers, IC-307 at Graph Expo 2011. The IC-307 Print Controller is a digital front end exclusively designed to optimize the performance of the latest flagship color digital press from Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta), the BIZHUB Press C8000. The IC-307 will also support the KONICA MINOLTA BIZHUB Press C7000/C7000P/C6000.

The IC-307 Print Controller supports ADOBE PDF Print Engine 2, the foundation of next-generation PDF print workflows. This capability enables quick and reliable rendering of PDF files containing complex designs and effects, including transparency layers in PDF files.

The IC-307’s capabilities improve colors to take print service providers to the highest level of professional standards. Based on the KODAK COLORFLOW Software engine, the profiling tool enables customers to establish “destination” profiles that assure perfect colors with every paper. The tool also helps users to create profiles from external measurements.

 

To improve user productivity, the IC-307 eliminates the need to program individual jobs separately. With the IC-307, users can apply new job parameters to several jobs by using a predefined virtual printer.

The IC-307 is compliant with FOGRACERT Validation Printing Systems based on ISO/CD qualifications, one of the highest standards of the printing industry. The IC-307’s compliance with the Fogra Certification reflects its reliability in print consistency and predictable color results.

The IC-307 Print Controller integrated with the BIZHUB Press C8000, contributed to Konica Minolta receiving the first-ever IDEAlliance Digital Press Certification. The certification assesses performance and production requirements on color reproduction specifications and other standards related to quality, durability, repeatability and uniformity. The IC-307 Print Controller’s advanced color management technology helps enable the BIZHUB Press C8000 digital press to deliver its high quality color and imaging performance.
