3D packaging design and HD Flexo proved to be the hot topics of interest at this year’s EskoArtwork seminar.
Around 90 attendees at the annual day-long event at Loughborough University gained a clear perspective and an in-depth knowledge on the market growth potential of 3D packaging and HD Flexo along with other key issues. As well as discovering how they can add these services to their portfolios with solutions available today they also learnt about planned product upgrades that will continue to support them in the future.
The morning began with a product overview and roadmap for development. Attendees then chose one of three sessions on structural design and sustainability for 3D using ArtiosCAD, general packaging, highlighting JDF and HD Flexo, and digital finishing for the digital print market with a focus on i-cut suite and Automation Engine 10.1’s greater functionality.
Paul Bates, EskoArtwork regional business manager UK and Eire, comments: “General packaging was the one with the most interest. It is the hot topic of the moment and some people went into the session that aren’t set up to enter the market but want to know more. HD Flexo was also a very popular subject with people keen to learn more about the possible opportunities for their business.
“As well as telling them about our solutions today we also alluded to the planned drupa developments which will ensure they remain at the forefront of technological developments. We wanted to help them think about where they are taking their business in the next 12 months and encourage them to look towards drupa as a platform to enhance their knowledge.“It was our most successful seminar yet and we have already booked for next year,” concludes Bates.
