Sun Chemical plans to take innovation to the next level at this year’s Labelexpo Europe (Brussels, 28 September - 1 October), by showcasing product solutions that will help customers transform their business.
Visitors to the Sun Chemical stand can expect to hear more about its low migration ink and coating solutions for narrow web printing in the food packaging industry, as well as pick up a copy of the company’s recently issued Best Practice Guide to Food Packaging Printing. Low migration experts will also be on hand to provide specialist insight. As part of this offering, press manufacturer Muller Martini will be present on the Sun Chemical stand to demonstrate its latest technology: the VSOP web offset printing press with electron-beam curing for printing food safe packaging. The stand will also feature Sun’s innovative special effects portfolio, SunInspire™, which creates shelf stand-out and differentiation as well as its latest in laser marking solutions, SunLase™, which allow packaging and labels to be nominally patch printed providing unique identifiers and personalisation. In co-operation with GSE Dispensing, new solutions will also be showcased for ink management and dispensing.
Sun Chemical’s portfolio of low migration products for narrow web that will be featured at the show comprises of: SunCure® FLM UV Offset inks, SolarFlex® LM UV Flexo inks, SunBeam® ELM, EB Offset inks and SunCure® LM Coatings. The performance of these products have been validated by independent laboratories, they meet major brand owners requirements and allow the production of low migration packaging when used as part of a controlled process, which are increasingly essential requirements for the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Jonathan Sexton, Sales Director for Narrow Web Europe at Sun Chemical, will be presenting on the topic of “Safe printed food packaging – how safe am I?”, a presentation which can be heard in the Package Printing Zone on Wednesday 28 September 2011 at 14:00.
Jonathan Sexton comments: “Our insight and understanding into the challenges and needs of the market allows us to offer a product portfolio that is not only innovative, but delivers efficiency, productivity and differentiation and therefore allows customers to transform and grow.”
