EskoArtwork’s Automation Engine 10 will be among the leading technologies showcased at Baker Self Adhesive Labels’ open day on November 10.
Installed a couple of weeks prior to the event at the Brentwood operation, Automation Engine 10 was chosen to ease job throughput, increase capacity and ultimately profitability. It delivers improved efficiency and throughput and saves time and money by taking the errors out of the process as it allows users to preset repetitive tasks and make automated decisions within the workflow. It also integrates seamlessly with any existing infrastructure.
The EskoArtwork solution at Baker Self Adhesive Labels includes Deskpack for turning Adobe® Illustrator® and Photoshop® into fully-fledged packaging applications and Flexproof colour management enabling contract proofs to be made on a variety of digital proofing devices.
Organised by HP Indigo, Baker Self Adhesive Labels was chosen to host the event following a long-term partnership that resulted in it being the first UK operation to invest in the HP Indigo ws6000 Digital Press in 2009. The relationship stems back further with the first HP Indigo press, a ws4050, installed in 2006, followed later by a ws4500, which was upgraded for the HP Indigo ws6000 Digital Press. Since then it has regularly welcomed prospective HP clients but this is the first time it has held an open day.
“We are proud of what we do and we do it quite well which is why we are hosting the day,” says Steve Baker, managing director of Baker Self Adhesive Labels. “We are very open and honest and visitors appreciate that.”
At the event Automation Engine 10 will be put through its paces and Baker adds: “We wanted EskoArtwork to be involved because while we have been working with them for a number of years we have just decided to invest in Automation Engine. We chose the technology because runs are getting smaller and smaller and variants more and more which meant administration of jobs such as preflighting and proofing was taking up more time. We wanted to reduce that.”
