UPM Raflatac attracts label and packaging designers to WDC Helsinki 2012

UPM Raflatac has launched a promotional campaign on the Pro Label Studio website for label and packaging designers in Europe. By giving feedback, designers have a chance to win a weekend for two in World Design Capital Helsinki between May-December 2012.

For UPM Raflatac, the Pro Label Studio campaign is an opportunity to reach out to designers and innovate new self-adhesive labelling solutions together with them. Pro Label Studio is UPM Raflatac’s online label design studio, where designers can preview and experiment with various label materials. The site also highlights UPM Raflatac’s Prototype Selection that offer fresh combinations of colour and texture for creative label solutions.

“The application is a great example of our innovative solutions. As a frontrunner of bio and forest industry we want to inspire the design community by developing new ideas and materials. WDC Helsinki 2012 gives us a platform to deepen our relationship with designers,” says Elisa Nilsson, Vice President for Brand Management at UPM.

UPM partners with WDC Helsinki 2012 as one of its main corporate sponsors. The World Design Capital is selected bi-annually and to earn the honour, a city must utilise design to promote cultural, social, and economic development in an exemplary manner. The World Design Capital sets a global standard and serves as a meeting place for the world’s design community.

The Pro Label Studio campaign goes on until 2 December 2012. Visit the campaign website at www.prolabelstudio.com/wdc2012.
