New Business Development Manager Joins Meech

Meech International announces the appointment of Donald Lewis as Business Development Manager, responsible for the development and support of Meech in new market areas. Donald will specifically focus on the growth and increased sales of Meech’s web cleaning range, including TakClean, ShearClean and Tornado and also Meech’s recently launched IonRinse, Ionised Air Rinsing System. Based at the company’s UK headquarters in Witney, his appointment comes amidst exciting expansion plans that include other appointments across Meech’s worldwide subsidiaries.

Donald’s new role at Meech as Business Development Manager follows three years at Erhardt + Leimer GmbH as International Business Development Manager – Print Inspection. He brings with him over twenty five years’ worth of experience in the label and converting industry.
Adam Battrick, Business Unit Director – Cleaning Systems at Meech International comments on Donald’s recent appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Donald to the team and know that with his broad experience he will bring a high level of knowledge to Meech. We are looking forward to working with him to expand into new market areas and to forge close relationships with new contacts. Through this appointment we hope to build on the success of Meech’s excellent growth figures for the 2010-2011 financial year.”

“I am thrilled to be part of a great forward-thinking company such as Meech,” remarks Donald. “Focusing in particular on Meech’s market leading web cleaning range and the IonRinse, my role will centre on the company’s development in various regions such as Asia, Russia and South America, where I have had previous experience and which hold fantastic potential for Meech.”

He continues: “I am confident that my previous roles within the narrow web printing and converting industry will allow me to push Meech forward in these key areas and I am very excited at the prospect of being involved in the future expansion of the current product ranges.”
In addition to Donald’s recent appointment at the UK headquarters, Meech has announced five further appointments at its China, USA and Belgium facilities. All five positions are sales based roles that will cover the full range of Meech products, and the new employees boast some excellent technical experience - over 35 years combined.

Adam Battrick concludes: “We are positive that Donald will be an important asset to Meech as we continue to grow our relationships with both our current and potential customers and distributors, and are pleased to announce additional sales appointments across our worldwide subsidiaries that are a reflection of our continued success. It is an exciting time for Meech, and we are looking forward to the prospect of developing further and maintaining our reputation as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of static control, air technology and both contact and non-contact web cleaning systems.”
