Pageflex Leads the Industry in Globalizing Its Technology

PFL_globalizationTo provide its customers with the best technology no matter where they do business, Pageflex announced it has globalized its entire product portfolio. The Pageflex suite of applications will join Pageflex iWay to include a wide range of features that give users around the globe access to the robust functionality found in Pageflex technology. Globalization features included in these new releases go beyond just language and localize all aspects of the software that are needed to successfully create online stores in a specific country, including language, taxation, business practices, and currencies. Pageflex will be demonstrating these globalization features at drupa in Hall 4, Stand A402.

More and more, print and marketing service providers around the world are working in an international marketplace. For some, the opportunity comes from setting up marketing portals for companies with offices and employees based around the world. For others, the opportunity for growth lies in expanding their web-to-print business to regions beyond their own boarders. Still other customers use the Pageflex product suite to service marketing needs of local non-English markets. With its new globalized capabilities, Pageflex is now the leading technology for enabling all these service providers to succeed internationally and locally.

With Pageflex 8.0, the Pageflex Storefront, Server, Campaign Manager, Studio, and Persona product interfaces have been translated into 10 languages: Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Russian, and both traditional and simplified Chinese. These translations include all web interfaces for customers and administrators, all user interfaces for content authoring applications, backend installers, utilities, and wizards; and documentation. Moreover, these applications have been re-engineered from the ground up to allow for localization to almost any other language upon request—and, in the case of user-facing web interfaces, to let product owners easily undertake such localizations on their own. Storefront product family in many cases is serving marketing needs of local non-English markets, where its mandatory for success to use local market language.

Pageflex iWay all ready included robust localization features for 11 different global regions, including English US, English UK, French, German, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese.

True globalization in e-commerce needs to go beyond just language, so both the new versions of Pageflex Storefront and Pageflex iWay include features that enable organizations to conduct business in other regions. These include support for user-selected currencies, locale-specific taxation rules, and other geographically-appropriate business processes such as shipping and payment. These options can be specified for a particular account or portal, or, where appropriate, multiple selections can be offered on a single site.

Elly Perets, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Pageflex, "Technology has made the world a smaller place, breaking down the traditional geographic boundaries of doing business. The globalization of Pageflex and the distribution efforts of our resellers and OEM partners around the world are helping print and marketing service providers capitalize on this trend. Together, we're giving them the tools and technology to succeed internationally."
