Martin Kühl, 45, is the new head of HERMA's Labelling Machines division. He joins the company from the Packaging Technology business unit of Bosch, where he was responsible for sales of package makers and valves, as well as bag form fill and seal machines. In his previous role, he not only managed and coordinated the corresponding global sales organisation of the Bosch facility in Waiblingen, but also had sales responsibility for the Weert plant in the Netherlands. Kühl worked in a variety of positions during his 14 years with the Packaging Technology division, which ranks among the leading suppliers in its field. He holds a degree in business administration. Before being recruited by Bosch, he was the sales director in Colombia for a Swiss trading company specialising in the sale of packaging machines.
Strong international focus
In the words of managing director Sven Schneller, "Martin Kühl is the ideal person to lead HERMA's Labelling Machines division. The demanding roles he has filled to date have always had a strong international focus. Additionally, he knows the packaging industry, which is a key target area for our labellers and labelling machines. It is our goal to substantially increase business in this division, especially within the international arena."
Kühl explains that he has been familiar with HERMA labellers for many years, "In the Bosch package makers, they always delivered outstanding results. They are exceptionally reliable. In view of their modular design, the labellers can be integrated into larger plants very quickly and inexpensively. This is a persuasive argument for both plant developers and key decision-makers." HERMA has built an excellent reputation as a technology partner in the packaging industry, he says, "Not only with its labellers, but also through its sophisticated expertise in the development of end-to-end, customised labelling systems, including the appropriate labels in some cases," adds Kühl. "These attributes will become even more significant in the future, and HERMA is already very well positioned to benefit from this trend.“
