Chadwicks Sleeves has created a shrink sleeve branding solution for Bayer Garden’s range of one litre trigger bottles – including weedkillers, insecticides, fungicides and animal repellents.
The range of 13 variants will be on sale in B&Q, Homebase, Wilkinsons, Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s plus various hardware stores and garden centres.
This year has seen a new pack and bottle design for this range with a technically challenging brief for shrink sleeve producers due to the high shrinkage requirements in certain areas of the bottles. Chadwicks’ offer of price competitiveness, technical competence and product quality led Bayer to place the business with the Bury firm.
Alison Mulvaney, Product Manager for Bayer Garden, said: “All of our products are approved by HSE which made this job quite complex as we have to include a lot of regulatory text on our products. The challenge is to present this in a consumer friendly way to allow them to use our products safely and correctly.
“Utilising a sleeve allows us to marry up high quality brand design whilst taking advantage of the additional space they offer for decoration and information. High impact branding is critical to success in the highly competitive retail environments in which we operate. The more modern look and feel that a sleeve provides really helps push sales up to the levels we aim to achieve.“
Richard Cutworth, Business Develop Manager, said: “We were delighted with the results on this project as it really showcased our technical ability. High shrinkage areas such as those required by this job can be extremely challenging to configure and print but our team’s precise approach resulted in a finished job that exudes quality.”
