Edale thrilled by Label Expo India responses!

As the UK was adjusting to the clocks changing and the end of British Summertime, the sixth edition of Label Expo India was just getting underway, held at the Pragati Maidan centre in New Delhi.

UK based Edale were exhibiting at the show alongside their Indian agent Printers Supply Co and reported it to be the ‘best show of the India series so far’. Edale’s Sales Engineer Chris Chappel was joined at the show by Printers Supply Co. Managing Director; Amitabh Luthra, Marketing Manager Uma Maheshwar Rao and Mosharaf Middya, Technical Support Executive.

Over the four show days, visitor numbers were consistently high and visits to the Edale stand exceeded prior expectations; the level of enquiries were up by 37% compared to the Label Expo India 2010 show.

Chris Chappel reports “We received a high volume of machine enquiries and quotes requested and I am confident that we will convert a good majority of these enquiries into sales and future partnerships in the coming months”.

There was particular interest in Edale’s core products; the FL-3 printing press for labels and flexible packaging, the Gamma printing and converting system for single pass telecom recharge production and the Gamma and FDC-510, flatbed die cutter, for inline short run folding carton production. The show enabled Edale to further showcase their experience and knowledge in these fields to existing and potential customers.

Amitabh Luthra concludes “We have worked as agents for Edale for a number of years now, and the response at the show was extremely positive, the Edale brand is now recognised as one which can provide high specification machine solutions for niche markets such as Scratch Cards and Folding cartons as well as a wide variety of labels. The Edale & Printers Supply association is a strong partnership in India and we hope to reap the reward of the show in due course.”
