The annual event and meeting point for the world’s release liner industry covering markets, trends, and technologies – the Global Release Liner Conference & Exhibition – takes place on March 20-21 2013 in Denver, Colorado, USA. Organised annually by AWA Conferences & Events, and alternating between Europe and USA, this event is the established forum for the release liner industry.
Workshops – sustainability and business development
This year’s program brings new opportunities for delegates to increase their knowledge and understanding. As part of the conference program, two concurrent workshops will take place on the first morning. One will address the high-visibility topic ‘Is Liner Recycling an Obstacle or an Opportunity?’, and will be led by Calvin Frost, CEO of Channeled Resources Group, which has a long history of successfully managing liner recycling and reuse. The second focuses on business development and growth opportunities, and will be led by Jackie Marolda, Vice President and Senior Consultant at AWA Alexander Watson Associates, and an expert in business development strategies and techniques.
Market data and developments
The conference agenda opens with AWA Alexander Watson Associates’ CEO Corey Reardon’s annual report on the global release liner markets, followed by a detailed evaluation by Jackie Marolda of the industry survey conducted each year by the company. In-depth evaluations of key geographical markets follow, covering the challenges presented in doing business in South East Asia (from Wilco van Zwieten, Commercial Director, SAScoat, Vietnam) and the fast-growing South American market (from Roberto Ribeiro, Manager, Asterisco Consultoria e Participações, Brazil). The program also features a number of presentations on other key topics.
Expert panel discussion
A popular feature of the program, as it has been in recent years, is the panel discussion and Q&A session featuring leading silicone suppliers and key release coating companies, moderated by Corey Reardon. Topics raised by the audience for expert comment will undoubtedly include sustainability, trends, and developments.
Concurrent exhibition
Throughout the two-day program, delegates can visit the concurrent exhibition, which provides a valuable opportunity to see the product offerings of leading industry suppliers, as well as providing a prime networking location. The first day’s proceedings also conclude with a cocktail party.
The Global Release Liner Industry Conference is once again set to provide the industry with a definitive update on the status of its market segments and geographies, its materials, and its technologies.
‘Earlybird’ registration discount
AWA Conferences & Events are offering delegates who register early (by December 31 2012) an ‘earlybird discount’ on the standard registration rate, and industry suppliers at all levels can still book exhibition space. Full details of the Global Release Liner Conference 2013 are available from AWA Alexander Watson Associates’ website, www.awa-bv.com, where it is also possible to register online.
The event is a component in the company’s extensive portfolio of activities in the field of release liner, which include the Global Pressure-sensitive Tapes Market Study & Sourcebook, and Labeling Markets South American Market Study & Sourcebook. Details of all published market reports are also available on the AWA website.
