The QCDC (Quick Change Die Cutting) system was showcased at Labelexpo America in September and resulted in a major jump in sales of the Performance series presses around the world, with sales now touching 200. The QCDC system can also be retrofitted to existing P series presses with several retrofits already having been carried out in the USA.

These latest Mark Andy sales, one 8 colour and one 9 colour, both 17” web width models will be equipped with GEW UV drying, Enercon corona treaters, Harper ceramic anilox rolls, Teknek web cleaners plus a full complement of quick change trolleys to take advantage of the high output and rapid changeover times associated with the Performance series presses.

Ian Guanaria, general manager, Aldus Engineering told Australian Printer, “During the recent Labelexpo in Chicago, we were amazed at the response to the new QCDC system featured by Mark Andy as we had not seen it until we arrived at the show, and it obviously played a major part in the sales of these 2 machines. The clients were very impressed with the ability to further reduce the setup times and job change times and with the reduction in machine waste, thus enabling an even quicker payback period for their investment."
