Edale announce additional features and options for their FL-3 label and packaging press

Following the initial launch and subsequent successful installations of the Edale FL-3, the Edale design team have made several developments to enhance this high productivity, cost efficient label and packaging printing press.

 

A number of new features and options have been added to the press; the next generation FL-3 is now available in a 430mm web width and with dual axis servo drives, as well as a moveable rail system as optional extras, whilst integrated ducting comes as standard.

 

 

A further advancement to the FL-3 was not only aesthetics, to introduce dual side plate construction, but also a slight reduction in height; this was developed to give the operator easier access to the print stations.

The additional features & options include:

· Dual axis servo drives – the introduction of the optional servo drives allows for an increased substrate range offering more flexibility to the customer for a wider range of applications

· Additional web width – the press is now available in a 430mm web width (350mm is standard web width)

· Moveable rail system - allows for increased flexibility; additional modules such as laminating, turn bar, screen, cold foiling and delam/relam can be easily manoeuvred along the press into varying positions for a variety of applications

· Integrated ducting – the machine’s ducting is neatly integrated within the footprint of the machine opening up the option to those companies who have minimal floor space but require maximum output from their machine

 

Chris Chappel, Sales Manager, says “The FL-3 is an extremely versatile and useable flexopress and now that we have a machine based in the Hampshire showroom, we can carry out trials and press demonstrations quickly and easily. The press will be coming out to Label Expo Europe but we have an open door policy at Edale for those who would like to view it sooner”.
