Edale are pleased to announce changes to its sales division with the appointment of Chris Chappel to the position of Sales Manager, Chris will cover the UK and Ireland, as well as a number of export countries.
Chris has a 13 year history within the print industry both in a technical printing role as well as a sales capacity, and has been a key member of the Edale sales team for just over two years. Chris was initially employed by Edale as a Print Application Engineer to run the UK showroom and host demonstrations and trials, before moving into a more technical sales role. His experience at Edale alongside his experience prior to this role, means Chris brings with him a wealth of experience in not only Edale, but other conventional press manufacturers machines.
“Chris was the ideal candidate when we were looking to expand our UK sales team. The introduction and launch of the new next generation label & package printing press, the Edale FL-3, was the ideal time to recruit for this position. Chris’ experience of running the Edale range as well as servicing and customer training means he has the in-depth technical knowledge needed for this role”, says Edale’s Managing Director James Boughton.
As well as a change in role, Chris is also starting his new career in a new location as Edale open their second UK office, based in Oldham, Greater Manchester. This means that the company now have a base in the North as well as their existing purpose built premises on the South Coast, providing much greater reach and support to their growing list of customers.
Chris concludes “Working at Edale for a number of years has enabled me to gain invaluable knowledge on the company’s values and focuses. As well as this, I have been lucky enough to run the full range of presses - so as well as technical experience I am also familiar with the machines from a hands-on perspective. I am looking forward to the challenge that the new role brings, and am keen to introduce Edale’s British designed and manufactured presses into more UK companies”.
