Commenting on the purchase, COO, Simon Diver of International Print and Paper said, "We convert a wide range of speciality films and label substrates and with expensive MSI pricing, reduction of set-up waste is critical in supporting corporate initiatives. The HSR facilitates job setting and its high throughput has enabled us to reduce waste and improve customer deliveries. The ability to recall specific jobs settings has also allowed us to improve finished roll tension consistency and quality. This is critical on some of the speciality materials we are converting outside the traditional label market. Our operators also appreciate the easy to use set-up screens and user friendly interface system."

The HSR is a high speed slitter inspection rewinder that benefits from larger unwind/rewind diameters and runs at speeds up to 300m/min. The system is equipped with a high specification as standard and can be further enhanced through the addition of a wide range of options including converting modules. Available in web widths of 13" (330mm) 17" (430mm) and 21" (530mm) the HSR is equipped for 31" (800mm) unwind and 24" (600mm) rewind diameters. Standard features include electronic web guide with ultrasonic sensor for opaque and clear substrates, scissor knife slitting, auto knife throw off, taper tension, touch screen for easy job set up with error display, label or length count with programmable slow down and stop feature, plus total batch count.

"During Labelexpo 2012, we quickly identified AB Graphic International as the supplier of choice for a new technology solution to improve our finishing operation," adds Diver. "We were looking for the ability to convert a wide range of materials and the HSR has met this need. In addition an important factor in the selection process was efficient and fast after sales support. Our New York facility has been using converting equipment from AB Graphic International and spoke highly of their desire to satisfy its customers. This was clear from the moment the impressively packed machine arrived through to commissioning with the technician staying with us until we were happy for him to leave."
"We are delighted in the trust that Gintzler Graphics and International Print and Packaging have placed in us," said Wes Harrington of AB Graphic International. "We have already installed several finishing lines at the customer's New York facility and are pleased to have won this repeat business based on both innovative technology and our commitment to supporting our customers and our products.
