Color Quality Solution is the result of cooperation between QuadTech and hubergroup

On the trade fair Grafitalia/Converflex in Milan (May 7 to 11, 2013), the partners are presenting an innovative measuring system that brings quality and safety to packaging printers

QuadTech, a provider of control systems for the printing industry has released a faster, more secure method designed to achieve and maintain a perfect color in cooperation with the ink manufacturer hubergroup. This is achieved by data from an inline color measuring system, processed with offline color measurement technologies. The new system for in-line measurement can be seen and experienced on the 7th of to 11th 2013 May in Milan at the Grafitalia /Converflex, which is aimed at printshops and converters.

Color Quality Solution compares inline captured data from an HD camera with ink formulation data and spectral target values. The automated method allows a fast and stable correction of inking or color recipes, guaranteeing efficient production times. An increase of economic and operational efficiency is also achieved by avoiding waste and increasing the consistency of quality. Two of the great packaging printers in Italy have the system in use with great success.

The hubergroup was partner in this project to develop the extensive database, which is one of the basic building blocks for this innovative system for quality control and quality correction. QuadTech's choice confirms the reliability of hubergroup inks, and it confirms the first class service and rich experience of the printing ink manufacturer with rich tradition.
