ECPA announces first European Co-Packers’ Conference

image The European Co-Packers Association (ECPA) has released the provisional programme for its first European conference for co-packers, to be held at the NH Hotel du Grand Sablon in Brussels, Belgium, on 8 and 9 October 2013.

The ECPA Conference will be the very first pan European event for the co-packing industry. As such it will offer a unique platform for business leaders and decision makers across the value chain to meet, network, acquire new knowledge and information and exchange views and opinions about the future of this industry.

Under the title ‘Mapping out the World of Co-Packing in Europe’, the conference will address a range of topics relevant to the future of co-packing in Europe. Its programme will include the results of a market survey into the size and composition of the European co-packing market (based on qualitative research commissioned by ECPA). Other topics to be addressed will include brand protection, quality assurance, product coding, shelf-ready packaging, ERP as well as the growing importance of outsourcing of strategic business processes by brand manufacturers and private label owners.
