ImageTek Labels, a Vermont based label systems developer and label converter in Springfield, VT, introduces the newest addition to their group of label converting equipment. ImageTek purchased an LVS7500®, a bar code validation system manufactured by Label Vision Systems in early July.
The LVS® 7500 will allow them to validate bar code labels for readability and will then grade each label per international standards. By inspecting any combination of 1D and 2D codes, an inspector can easily detect non-conforming labels, see trends on quality and assure ISO standards are met. The system has the ability to scan hundreds of labels a minute, and notifies the inspector through visible error warning indicators and alarms.
ImageTek Labels is pleased to have this technology available. With their continued growth in military and government sectors, this system was a must. Most often, UID and other barcode labels must not only meet ANSI or ISO standards but must also be verified and graded. Often times, validation reports of the labels integrity must be supplied with an order before these orders are accepted by the end user.
