VIDEOJET® presents coding expertise at MEDIPLAS show

Today’s traceability, serialization, quality and supply chain complexity requirements present numerous challenges for suppliers to the medial plastic industry. Videojet Technologies will be demonstrating how its portfolio of solutions can provide the all-important answers at the Mediplas Show, Birmingham NEC, on September 25 and 26.

Videojet will demonstrate the Videojet 1000 small character continuous inkjet printer series and the Videojet 3020 solutions on stand H5. These are supported by CLARiSUITE, Videojet’s code assurance Solution that ensures the correct code is applied in the correct location on the correct product and packaging.

“The show is uniquely focused on the highly specialised area of manufacturing plastic parts for the medical industry, many of which require high quality, integrity assured, coding,” says Tom Hawkins, sales director UK and Ireland. “We will showcase just how creative our portfolio of solutions can be when required to meet very specific market demands.”

MAXIMISE UPTIME WITH USER FRIENDLY SOLUTIONS

The user-friendly 1000 range of small character inkjet systems offer a choice for every application, from high to very high speeds, font sizes from 0.6 to 12 mm and up to eight lines of print.  They maximise uptime, simplify maintenance and provide consistent codes in any setting. Ideal for daily and multi-shift applications they feature Dynamic Calibration™ for the optimisation of print quality in changing environmental conditions, CleanFlow™ printhead technology for reduced ink build-up for longer runs between printhead cleanings and a core life of up to 12,000 hours to extend run times between preventive maintenance. Also incorporated is a CLARiTY interface that reduces errors, a large, responsive 10.4inch touchscreen for easy operation and a Smart Cartridge™ fluid system that reduces waste, mess and mistakes.

One of the lightest laser systems available in its class, the versatile entry-level 10-Watt CO2 Videojet 3020 can be easily fitted onto most production lines. Ideally suited to paper, cardboard, plastics and other materials for the consumer packaged goods and industrial markets, the 3020's single-box design enables fast installation and line changes. While high-speed CO2 laser marking technology is delivered by the Videojet 3320 that marks a wide spectrum of materials from folded cartons, labels and plastic to glass bottles and tubes.

The systems can print logos, graphics, large and small text and a wide range of linear and 2D bar codes, including the increasingly popular GS1-128 bar codes.

FULLY INTEGRATED CENTRALISED MESSAGING

These production solutions are supported by CLARiSUITE - a fully integrated solution linking on-product coding to a centralised message database. Featuring centralised message management and printing control its manages Videojet printers from a central message database minimising printer set-up time, reducing operator intervention, eliminating coding errors, recalls and reducing risk with accurate and readable codes.

“We are delighted to showcase such a broad range of systems can indeed handle every application,” adds Mr Hawkins. “We will be demonstrating just how easy they are to set up quickly and integrate seamlessly into highly complex and tight production lines for optimum results and maximum flexibility.”

Videojet will be partnering with Sunala Ltd, a supplier of coding and marking technologies for the pharmaceutical industry, to help customers identify new business and market opportunities. Adds Mr Hawkins: “Together with Sunala we have years of experience and a strong reputation in all markets including medical and pharmaceutical.”
