Tomas Rink, president of Ritrama Group, during the gala dinner for the Label Industry Global Awards 2013 at Brussels’ The Event Lounge has been awarded with the 2013 R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award sponsored by Avery Dennison.
This award is a real credit in the industry and means to be at the highest level in this business. Tomas Rink joins fellow label industry leaders including RotoMetric’s Steve Lee, Helmut Schreiner and Lars Eriksen from Nilpeter. During his speech Tomas Rink gratefully and sincerely thank Tarsus and Labels&Labeling, the judge committee, Avery Dennison and of course all his family.
“ I never thought I will get a Lifetime achievement award.” Tomas Rink said “I want to remember Stan Avery because he really was the man who was behind this industry and contributes so much to this industry, so I’m really proud to receive a Stan Avery Award.”
“On a negative side, getting this award also is an indication that I’m getting a bit older. But it doesn’t mean that I feel, it doesn’t mean that I want to stop. As most of you know, I have no plan to retire. Because I love this industry and I also love Ritrama and what I do. Believe it or not, if you visit Ritrama’s booth in the next few days you will see that I haven’t stopped inventing things. In this occasion in particular there is something which goes in the direction of making what I believe is our real industry, the PSA, the pressure sensitive adhesive industry, a bigger industry than it is today. In other words, products which will make this industry even bigger. And that’s what we are looking for.”
