Leading UK manufacturers of narrow web flexographic printing presses and converting machinery, Edale, have formed a strategic partnership with Muller Martini, who will now be responsible for representing Edale in Central and Eastern European markets. Countries now covered by Muller Martini include Albania, Austria, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Herzegovina, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia and Slovak Republic.
Muller Martini are global leaders in the development and manufacture of print finishing systems and machines for variable size web-offset printing. This new collaboration with Edale sees Muller Martini CEE expand their range of products, creating a comprehensive web offset and web flexo press portfolio.
“Our web offset presses appeal to the top end narrow web printers so this collaboration optimises our CEE wide sales structure” says Roland Henn, CEO of Muller Martini CEE. “We now have a wider range of products to offer all existing and new customers, backed up by our renowned technical support.”
The Muller Martini CEE sales team recently attended an in-depth two day training course at the Edale Head office based in Hampshire, UK alongside other Edale agents. The agenda began with an overview of Edale, followed by extensive discussions on print technologies and applications in packaging. After laying expert foundations regarding Edale’s printing presses, Muller Martini had the opportunity to get hands on, changing print stations and familiarising themselves with the Edale FL-3 label and flexible packaging press.
Bernhard Grob, Edale’s Export Sales Director, comments “Our open approach to achieving the right solution for customers through our network of technology partners and innovative engineering means companies are keen to benefit from our knowledge and experience.”
Although this partnership is in its early stages Muller Martini are keen to push joint success and have already been involved in the installation of the first FL-3 in Poland, as well as a FL-1 compact flexopress.
Edale’s Managing Director, James Boughton, concludes “Edale’s network is one of its strongest assets and our collaboration with global leaders Muller Martini allows us the opportunity to continue our growth and development within CEE markets.”
