Hally Labels selects the SATURN BIDI double inspection system for their pharmaceutical and cosmetics labels.

imageThe “recursive inspection” of SATURN BIDI is a new function in which the inspection camera double checks the web: in case of default the machine stops and the defect is rewound back till it is positioned on the splicing table. A patented unique motorized roller, which avoids contact between idlers and labels, simplifies the positioning of the errors  eliminating all problems and stress to the labels a conventional buffer creates (chiefly for booklet labels). Actually SATURN BIDI fits over-sized rolls to grant smooth paper path.  The machine can work at the speed of 125 m/min with the BIDI inspection mode; alternatively, it can work up 250 m/min.

Hally Labels is a privately owned narrow web label printing business with plants in Australia – Brisbane and Sydney – and  in New Zealand – Auckland and Christchurch – employing about 300 staff.  Regarded as an innovative supplier in the market, Hally Labels runs flexographic and digital offset technology both in their New Zealand and Australia plants.

Deryck Bonner, operations manager of Hally Labels, commented: “We selected the PRATI SATURN Bidi  as we realized the ease of operation for the operator. But what impressed us was also the great QC ability which picks up any differences to required acceptable label requirements. The SATURN BIDI also stores this information for reporting purposes, and this is for us a plus. Finally, even at a convenient price, it well covers our ability to produce pharmaceutical and nutraceutical labels to the high quality standards required by this industry.”

“ PRATI's equipment ensure full quality compliance with our top tier customers’ needs, but at the same time it is easy for the operators to learn and run them. We have seen a marked reduction in quality issues ending up at the customers’ production line.”

“PRATI is for us a certainty, but the most decisive points to select PRATI are: the value of the equipment, a very good value for money, and the outstanding support from PRATI and their agent. Last but not least, a family culture with that ethos flowing through to the customer. Nothing is too much trouble to them, no matter how far away you are: any problem is always solved.”

“Starting from the point that the quality of construction of PRATI's very well made equipment is the best seen over many years in the business compared with similar equipment, we are very pleased with our machine and the decision to purchase. This last supply has even exceeded our expectations and we are now looking at further machines for our plants.”
