Outlook Group in Neenah, Wis., purchases MPS EF flexo press

MPS Systems North America, Inc. (MPS) has announced Outlook Group Corp. in Neenah, Wis., has purchased and installed one of its EF flexo presses.

According to Denny McGee, president of MPS America, Outlook Group Corp. purchased a 17-inch, 10-color EF Press with APC (Automated Print Control). The EF is MPS’s flagship press. It is a highly automated, multi-substrate flexo press that excels at label production and flexible packaging printing, and is known for its superior print quality, automation features, ease of operation and flexibility.

Brett Peters, senior process engineer at Outlook Group Corp., said his team was especially excited about the EF’s ability to print extremely thin films while holding a very tight register, along with its operator interface and ease of use.

“We were really impressed with what MPS showed us during their demonstration of the EF,” said Peters. “Most important, they demonstrated the press’s ability to hold tight register control, which is vital to our book of business.”

Another feature that factored into the purchase was MPS’s exclusive Crisp.Dot technology, which uses a free running, rubberized impression roller to improve print quality by reducing dot gain and preventing barring. Also important was the automation technology that simplifies operator control of the press and reduces set-up waste.
