Graphic Users’ Association Celebrates 10th Anniversary of GUA European Conference

Celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, Kodak’s annual Graphic Users’ Association (GUA) Conference will address the many ways print businesses can thrive in today’s multi-channel environment.

Taking place in Spain from 21st – 23rd October at the Hotel Meliá Avenida AmĂ©rica, Madrid, the conference will promote the theme “Think Beyond” to highlight how GUA members can find new and sustainable ways to increase productivity for their business beyond traditional techniques and explore how production and print processes can improve social, environmental and economic performance.

This year’s event will focus primarily on process optimisation and automation, leveraging Kodak’s core Unified Workflow Solutions portfolio. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact and learn from other Kodak customers and see demonstrations of Kodak’s newest technology, with updates to products including KODAK PRINERGY Workflow 7 and KODAK INSITE Prepress Portal System 7. This, along with developments for KODAK COLORFLOW Software and KODAK PREPS Imposition Software will bring fresh ideas for production improvement.

Featuring industry keynote speakers, customer panel discussions and both business and technical tracks, the GUA Conference will help attendees achieve a deeper level of knowledge to help drive their competitive advantage, while also addressing the real world challenges and opportunities the evolving graphics communications industry is facing. The GUA Technology Innovation Lab provides a dedicated space where attendees can talk with Kodak subject matter experts and receive one-on-one hands on product demonstrations.

The GUA Community is a worldwide, non-profit organization which remains dedicated to empowering users of KODAK Solutions to discover how new applications can drive business growth and fresh revenue streams. You can find more information at www.gua-europe.com.

Stephen Lavey, GUA Board President, said: “It’s been ten years since we were in Barcelona for our first European GUA Conference, and it is with great pleasure that we announce the return to Spain for this special anniversary in the association’s history. In that time we have raised interesting issues in and around our dynamic industry, from marketing trends to effectively harnessing our human resources. We've seen KODAK PRINERGY Workflow grow from a significant part of an operator’s daily life to become the highly flexible, customizable and highly automated solution it is today, where intervention is the exception rather than the norm. Each year we’ve been listening to your feedback, and we are looking forward to putting on a conference that we believe will really meet our members’ needs.”
